Who writes and reviews the content
Substantial grief content is written or reviewed by Nicole, MS, LPCC-S (Ohio), a licensed counselor by professional background, bereaved parent, and founder of Compassion Navigator. Credentials describe professional background; they do not mean that reading this website creates a counseling relationship.
What informs the work
Pages combine established grief and bereavement guidance, reputable public-health and professional sources, more than twenty years of work beside children and families, and lived experience after the death of Nicole’s son. First-person insight is identified as perspective—not presented as universal evidence.
Specificity without pretending universality
Grief differs by person, relationship, culture, faith, circumstances, resources, and time. The site avoids fixed timelines, guarantees, stage-based prescriptions, and claims that one practice helps everyone.
Medical and mental-health boundaries
Educational content does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical or mental-health care. Concerning symptoms require qualified evaluation. Clinical terms are used carefully and linked to authoritative information when they materially affect the reader’s decisions.
